Unit learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

  1. Describe the fundamental concepts and principles of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry
  2. Explain key BIM processes, terminologies, and standards used in the planning, design, and construction of building and infrastructure projects
  3. Develop and manage BIM models using industry-standard BIM tools
  4. Describe the roles and responsibilities for BIM implementation and management in construction projects.
  5. Discuss the challenges and opportunities of BIM adoption within construction industry practices and workflows
