Further update on Windsor Community Children's Centre
In summary
An update from Swinburne University of Technology on Windsor Community Children's Centre from June 2026
The Swinburne University of Technology Council has approved the next steps for entering into a contract of sale with the City of Stonnington for its Union Street parcel of land.
Swinburne’s Council made the decision to approve, in principle, the sale of the property for $8.4 million, subject to the completion of negotiations with Stonnington and government approvals. It is anticipated the sale will be supported by a previously announced funding commitment of $4.3 million from the Federal Government.
This is not the end of the sale process; rather, the decision paves the way for the process to continue. Further government approvals are being sought and are still required to transact the sale.
All parties are working together in good faith to execute the contract of sale.
